A sculpted elevated roadway is being planned for five miles of US 280, from I-459 to Eagle Point Parkway. With single open piers in the median, the bridge will initially carry four lanes of traffic to relieve severe congestion. An option exists to expand to six lanes in the future. The design was developed through extensive community involvement and a FIGG Bridge Design Charette™. The community has endorsed the project and design is continuing.
